About me

Background        

Born to Wisconsin farm parents. Grew up, went to college, and began working in Alaska. Became a mother and lawyer in Texas. I couldn’t be happier to now be a Lodi, Wisconsinite! Running for third term on the Columbia County Board!

Qualifications     

Current County Board incumbent, serving on five committees:

  • Executive Committee as County Second Vice Chair

  • Finance Committee as Secretary

  • Planning and Zoning Committee as Chair

  • Ad Hoc Broadband Committee as Chair

  • Intercounty Coordinating Committee

Also: Mother of three kids, one in the Lodi school district, one in college at UW, and one in the IBEW electrician apprenticeship. Practiced law with Bracewell, LLP in Houston. Prior to earning law degree, worked as State of Alaska contaminated site cleanup project manager. Prior to that, worked for Jacobs Engineering as environmental scientist. Worked for BP all through undergrad and graduate school, giving tours and facilitating environmental studies on Alaska’s North Slope oilfields.

Interests              

I have an amazing family - including my parents and extended family who live all around Wisconsin - and pets (dog, cats, and rabbit)! I love teaching yoga, including a senior yoga class at Reach Out Lodi. I love hiking on the Ice Age Trail, pontooning and kayaking on Lake Wisconsin, traveling with friends and family, and spending time with the wonderful people I have come to know here in Lodi!
